To the show hotel
From the north (I-85)
Take I-85 south to US-1 south (Raleigh) to I-540 west. Take I-540 west to Exit 1B (I-40 west - Durham). Stay in right lane. Take next exit (exit 282 Page Road). At bottom of the ramp turn right. The Sleep Inn will be on your right after passing under I-40.
From the north and west (I-40)
Take I-40 east to exit 282 (Page Road). At the bottom of the ramp turn right. The Sleep Inn is on your right.
From the south (I-95)
Take I-95 north. Exit I-95 onto I-40 toward Raleigh. Continue on I-40 to I-440 (Raleigh beltline). Take second entrance ramp onto I-440 (inner loop). Continue on I-440. Follow signs to I-40 west. Take I-40 west to exit 282 (Page Road). At the bottom of the ramp turn right. The Sleep Inn will be on your right after passing under I-40.
From the east (US 64)
Take US 64 west to Raleigh. Exit US 64 onto I-440 (Raleigh beltline). Take first entrance ramp onto I-440 (outer loop). Exit I-440 onto I-40 west. Take I-40 west to exit 282 (Page Road). At the bottom of the ramp turn right. The Sleep Inn will be on your right after passing under I-40.
From the show hotel to the show hall
From the hotel turn right onto Page Road. At your first opportunity (at the Comfort Suites) make U-turn on Page Road. As soon as you make your U-turn, get into the far left lane. Take I-40 east to exit 289 (Wade Avenue/North Raleigh). Take "Blue Ridge Road" exit (no number). At bottom of the ramp turn right. Go through two traffic lights. The fairgrounds will be on your right after the second light. Enter at the main gate and follow the road back through the fairgrounds bearing right to a large round building at the back of the fairgrounds. This is the Holshauser Building.
From the show hotel to restaurants in the area
The Sleep Inn does not offer a full-service restaurant. The only restaurant in walking distance is at the Hilton at the top of the hill behind the Sleep Inn.
Outlet Mall area (approximately 3 miles)
Take I-40 east to Airport Blvd (exit 284A). Turn right at the bottom of the ramp. There are a number of restaurants in the area including at the outlet mall (turn right at Factory Shops road). This exit has a Texas Steakhouse, Cracker Barrel, Waffle House, and several independent restaurants.
Briar Creek area (approximately 7 miles)
Take I-40 east to I-540 (exit 283). Take exit 4B to US 70 west. Approximately a mile west on US 70 you will see a shopping area to the left and to the right. There are a number of independent resturants in this area as well as chains such as Bob Evans, Red Robin, Chilis, O'Charleys, Jonny Carinos, and McDonalds.
