Show Hall:  Anniston Meeting Center, 1615 Noble Street, Anniston, AL  36202.  There is no onsite concession so please feel free to bring your own food (but not (open) alcohol).  There are numerous food options nearby.   Please put ALL trash in appropriate receptacles, not under cages.

Show Hotel -   LaQuinta Inn & Suites, 100 Colonial Drive, Oxford, AL  36203, 256-241-0950.  They are offering a rate of $109 plus tax for 2 doubles or (limited) king bedded standard rooms.  The usual LQ amenities are available – free breakfast with hot items, free wifi, NO additional pet fee if booking in our block.  Call the hotel DIRECTLY at 256-241-0950 and mention AL Paws & Claws EXHIBITORS block for this rate.  We will be following TICA Hotel Inspection Guidelines.  Please leave your room as you found it so we may continue to use this facility.  There are other pet friendly hotels in the area, including a Red Roof and Motel 6 (at exit 185).  Others with a pet fee include Sleep Inn and Quality Inn (at exit 188 with LQ.)

PLEASE – No matter where you choose to stay, take care to leave your room in good condition.  After finances, one of the biggest reason clubs/shows end up giving up is difficulty finding hotels.  All it takes is one irresponsible guest to turn hotels against having pets.

Airport Transportation:  Fly into Birmingham International Airport (BHM) or Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (ATL).  We will make every effort to pick up exhibitors that fly into BHM and will be staying at the show hotel.  Feel free to compare ATL fares (rental needed if using ATL). If you are flying into BHM and would like transportation, please reach out to Honey Gilmore BEFORE booking and we will see if we have any known judge pickups at that time.  If flying into BHM, please try to book return flights at or after 6 pm Sunday.  We STRONGLY recommend 8pm (Eastern) or later for ATL

Show Hours: Check-in will be from 2:00-2:45 Friday, Show starting at 3:00 PM (CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC). Check-in will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Saturday, 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.  Judging will begin promptly at 9:30 AM on Saturday and 9:00 AM on Sunday.  Advertised show hours for the public are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM each day.  Permission from show management must be obtained to leave earlier.

Junior Exhibitor Ring:  A JE Ring judged by Rene Knapp will be held on Saturday afternoon.

Registration: Preliminary & Advanced New Breeds and New Traits must be registered to enter and compete.  While it is not necessary for cats, kittens, alters or household pets to be registered with TICA to compete, registration is necessary for your entry to be scored for titles, regional and international awards.  To obtain information about registration with TICA call 956-428-8046, e-mail to registration@tica.org, or write to the TICA Executive Office at P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551.

Show Rules: TICA show rules and related rules will be strictly enforced.  By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by these rules and the decisions of the judges and show committee.  Official show rules may be obtained from the TICA Executive Office for a fee.  Contact information for the TICA Executive Office can be found in the previous paragraph. Kittens: All kittens (pedigreed or HHP) entered for competition must be at least 4 months old, but less than 8 months old, on the day of the show.  Kittens in the show hall for sale and/or exhibition must be at least 3 months old.

Household Pets: Household Pet Adults (8 months old and up) must be spayed/neutered.  Household Pet Adults are judged in 32 color/pattern divisions the same as pedigreed cats.  If you are not sure which color and/or pattern class your cat belongs in, please send a color picture of your cat with your entry.  Photos will be returned at check-in.  You will also have an opportunity Saturday morning to have the senior judge make a final determination if the color/pattern is still in question.

For the comfort of our exhibitors and spectators: The show hall area will be designated as non-smoking.  Children are always welcome at our shows, but for the enjoyment of all, we request that youngsters be supervised at all times.  Show management reserves the right to ask parents to control or remove disruptive children as well as any other disruptive exhibitors, spectators, etc.

Liability: Neither Alabama Paws & Claws, TICA, Anniston Meeting Center, or any area hotels can be held liable for loss, theft, accident/injury to animals, personal property, exhibitors, or their guests.
